Nanci's SnickerSnakes Welcome to SnickerSnakes- where the pretty snakes are! I love striped cornsnakes in red, white, purple, peach and pink. Foundation stock, breeding plans, and hopefully hatchling news!

El Wray x Zora, Miami Motleys

This is the fourth hook-up. El Wray really likes Zora! I'm hoping for some pinstripes!!

They're really lovely snakes.

Do Corn's always shed before the lateral Mambo??? I've seen so many photos of matings with sheds in there.

They can mate before they shed after brumation, (or before the first spring shed) but usually do it afterwards. Some people think that the shed skin has pheromones in it that tell the male the female is ready. So some people, including me, keep the shed skin and put it in with the mating couple to "help." It certainly doesn't hurt. So that is Zora's shed that I save and put in when I introduce the snakes.

w00t! Congrats on the hook up. I hope you get many lovely Miami mots and Pin Striped Mots out of those two. They are both beautiful examples.
