can you feed cooked chicken?

Well, I just reread the first 60 posts of the original thread.
In the 2 and a half years since this thread was started, I must say that my opinion for this diet (and its creator) has not changed.

Maybe you HAVE been breeding corns for over 20 years...so freaking WHAT?? I'm not impressed. I have never heard a single person say ONE nice thing about you (I HAVE heard you are short so I'm thinking your attitude might be the same kind of thing that afflicts those nasty nippy little toy breeds), but you seem to think you're some kind of deity. You sure could use a few lessons on how to treat others. That old thread just illustrates my point.

I apoligize to Dean (and Vader), Susan and mbdorfer for my actions just now. I will behave in future.

Can I please recommend everyone take a deep breath before this becomes a flame thread. There was a legit question asked here about feeding cooked chicken to snakes. The consensus was that it probably wouldn't hurt them although will likely not provide all necessary nutrients so it should not be the sole item fed to a snake. Now I know I am fairly new here but lets all take a deep breath and smile!

Well maybe if you did not take cheap shots you would not get any crap from me sister!!! You don't want trouble don't start it. Learn how to post like a human . Me and Drizz don't see eye to most of the time But at least he is a gentlemen . It took some time for both of us but at least we have grown to be more diplomatic and less wise cracks. You oppion is worthless you go off on a ragging tantrums like a child it sounds like you are describing you own personalty. To be truthful I think your business pratices are awfull. The way you handeled Linsay . when she had a problem you sucked big time . The first thing you should have said is dont worry about it if it goes down I will replace it . But not you. You tried to weasle your way out of the responseibilty. It is up on the forum. You barely even know what you are doing She is a novice good thing she had me and the board for support. When I sell any animals I even call my customers back a week or so latter to see if they are having any problems. You had to come up on the board to ask what should you do . This says aot about you . Joust hoping some will say it is out of your hands. I stand behind my animals. I have loads of satified customers. You can only judge a bunisess or a person by how it traets is cumosters when something goes bad . Everything is allwasys rosie when things are going good . :grin01:

All I can say is that Lindsay contacted me when Sassy didn't eat. I had sold the snake after she had taken frozen/thawed for me 3 times. I had no other females by then so I told her that if Sassy passed she would have first choice of my hatchlings from this year.
She and I emailed back and forth for weeks.
She got Sassy to eat.
I have not heard a word from her since.

How can I know if something is unsatisfactory if no one tells me?

Yea how long after she first contacted yioun I also remember when you ingnored her phone calls after a few weeks of her having problems . I had to help her out go head ask her . She will tell me how you handeled everything . Sorry I went through it with he the whole time. Now you look at my history . I have a guy Crag that lost some babies that he bought off me 3 years ago . I still call him and let him know when I got more of the strain. He told me this year that he got babies from the big male and one of the fem. that survived . I told him you still got credit on anything in the future.

The snake is doing great now. Him, I wonder why she talks to me and not you. What does that tell you .I wonder if she would ever buy something from you again. She bought snakes off me again this year . A repeat customer

I can PERSONALLY say nice things about Vinman/Vinnie AND Starsevol/Beth. I've dealt with both parties, and they are both good people (I can provide multiple sources for this claim, if pressed). You have differences of opinion, and you both may be confused by the limits of internet correspondence.

I already said all I have to say, Vin. I don't give a crap about the way you two feel about each other. If it spills into the main forum, I'm obligated to do something about it. You've both taken your cheap shots at each other, and now it STOPS! It's not fair to the original poster to lock this thread because you two want to dredge up ancient animosity. Recipe for Cincinnati-Style Chili:

Ingredients:


3 onions, chopped
6 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 pounds ground beef chuck
1/3 cup chili powder
2 tablespoons sweet paprika
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon dried oregano, crumbled
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground mace
1 bay leaf
3 cups water
One 16-ounce can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons wine vinegar
2 tablespoons molasses
Spaghetti, kidney beans, chopped onion, grated Cheddar, and oyster crackers as traditional accompaniments if desired


Instructions
In a large heavy kettle cook the onions and the garlic in the oil over moderate heat, stirring, until the onions are softened. Add the beef, and cook the mixture, stirring and breaking up the lumps, until the beef is no longer pink.

Add the chili powder, the paprika, the cumin, the coriander, the allspice, the oregano, the cayenne, the cinnamon, the cloves, and the mace and cook the mixture, stirring, for 1 minute. Add the bay leaf, the water, the tomato sauce, the vinegar, and the molasses and simmer the mixture, uncovered, stirring occasionally and adding more water if necessary to keep the beef barely covered, for 2 hours, or until it is thickened but soupy enough to be ladled. Discard the bay leaf and season the chili with salt and pepper.

The chili may be frozen or made 4 days in advance, cooled, uncovered, and kept covered and chilled. Serve the chili as is or in the traditional Cincinnati "five-way" style: Ladle the chili over the spaghetti and top it with the beans, the onion, the Cheddar, and the oyster crackers.

It is up to you . ll I can say if you do cook it for ten min. as was told to me by the superindenteT of reptiles at the bronx zoo. Their biggest burmese python was raised on frozen super market checked. Bill told me cook it because of parasites and pathegines

I have not posted a single word to Vin SINCE the Irwin thread a year ago, so how he can say its "ongoing" is beyond me.

Anyhoo, back to the subject at hand.
My advice is, listen to what everyone has to say.....and then follow Kathy Love's advice!

:-offtopic I just wanted to say I've met Vinny in person a couple times and he's a complete A******!!!!!!!(HA-Ha,just kiddin' Vin!!!!!!) He was real cool to me and my daughters at the shows.He's a hard a** from the Bronx.Says what he thinks and doesn't sugar coat anything.So he can't spell,big deal.He can carry on a conversation with you just fine.I think he comes off bad in the posts some times because of the spelling problems.Yeah sometimes he's rude,but so are other people on here.Myself I think alot of people on here are a little too sensative.He was pulling snakes out from under the table to show us and letting my daughters play with his dragons.He gave us a good deal on a dragon my daughter wanted.He knocked quite a bit off the price when I told him I was on the Cornsnake forum.

Now as far as feeding chicken,turkey etc.I wouldn't do it,because I don't have to.Right now I can afford the proven method of using mice.He ran out of cash and tried something different. :shrugs: His snakes he can do with them as he wishes.Kathy Love said she fed chicken back in the day and nobody jumped all over her.Maybe in a few years his snakes will be fine,maybe not.Maybe 1/2 chicken 1/2 rodents will be fine.Maybe someone will find out a piece of chicken here or there is actually good for them.Who knows. :cheers:

look I going to say this from my heart. I did not know you from a hole in the wall till I posted about Steve Since then yopu have taken many cheap shots at me . Dont tell me you dont remember figfhting with me on other threads . Maybe you dont realize you are doing it . I dont hate you. I dont want to arguee with you . I dont care if you say in the hobby or not. I have seen many I liked and not like. come and go I'm still here. Look despite everything if you ever have a problem I would still give you advice . The snakes are the most important thing to me not the keepers it is not the snakes fult that we keepers fight. I dont care if you dont like me but you respect me on this board. Even If I dissagree with you on something it will be done with couth.. Now that you awere of what is going on lets do something about it.
