I always consider Rufus to be a down-home, backwoods, country kind of name.

Great snake names.

LOL! Yeah, I noticed your avatar banner pretty fast when you first joined!
Firefly is where a lot of our snake names came from.

Every time I hear the name Rufus I think of our old orange tom cat we owned for years and years that had that name, RIP ole Rufus. I only have one corn at the moment, his name and story is as follows

Sir Blinky Starch of Winterfell - Male Sunglow Motley

Sir Blinky for short

Sir- because he's awesome, and deserving of the highest title available at the time I received him.

Blinky- After the Red ghost in pacman. Although Sir Blinky has turned out more orange than red, it is still a fitting name to my color blind eyes.

Starch- after corn starch, because it sounds similar to corn snake, AND it is similar sounding (sort-of-not-really) to Stark, which is my favorite house/family in Game of Thrones.

of Winterfell- Winterfell is where house stark originally resides in Game of Thrones, and I figure that's where Sir Blinky should be from.
