Oh great! Yet another type of Hypo??

Do Hypo A and B look like this as hatchlings?

Now that is bizarre! Very Neat though. If this is a type of hypo, at least in this cultivair it is easily distinguishable from the other types of hypo. How many from this clutch hatched like this?

very nice snake, red at the top and brown at the buttom...If if you still discover that much new genes you will hate the hypo-complex in a few years!!!

Is there another simple recessive combined with hypo causing the reduction of red? It almost appears that it may well be something other then a different form of hypo, say a 3rd type of anery or Caramel?
Of course I'm just speculating but maybe there is another unknown gene causing the appearance.

It almost looks like a "failing" type of anery. Obviously mixed with hypo it looks like a ghost that just didn't quite get rid of all the red. I guess we'll have to see how it grows up.

Hmmm...from the pic it looks like that is a clutch of all hypomelanistics. If that's true, then I would speculate that the reduced black is the result of the hypo trait with perhaps a "we-all-knew-it-had-to-show-up-sometime" hypoerythrism trait--a new gene? Like Clint said, it looks like a "failed" anery/partial anery. I'd like to see an F2 of that one with the hypo removed to see what's left. Would you get a pinkish anery-type animal? Keep the blacks, mute the reds...hmmm...get kind of a brown-toned snake?

Lots of new questions this year, huh?

there is nothing wrong with hypo's my first corn was a hypo and he is so sweet and he is het for some real interesting things you all just watch this space for a couple more years (find something to do as bordom may set in) but i will have some real beauties!
