Poop or Regurge?

So I was cleaning out Sam's cage today and I found two 'poops', one normal looking one and one slightly irregular one. (He usually gets one mice per feeding, but last time I gave him 2) The weird looking poop was pretty large, and normal color, but the weird thing was, was that there was a foot and a tail still attatched. However, these were also the brownish color, suggesting to me that they had already been digested, at least partially. Also, the aspen around the stuff was yellow, which makes me think it was urine. I guess my question is, does snake poo sometimes leave behind mouse parts like tails? This doesn't look like any regurge pictures I've seen on the forums, I can post a pic if needed. Thanks!

A picture would help allot, but I guess I really don't want to see it.

I have never seen anything recognizable come out the back end of a snake. They have tremendous digestive systems and if you can see what still looks like a foot, it would say it is probably regurgitation.

Your urine is yellow; the urates associated with snake poop are white. Again, that makes me think it is not a normal stool.

Too large of a meal could cause regurgitation. Too cool of temperatures could as well. If the food item is rotting in the stomach before the snake can digest it, they will regurgitate. I would suggest skipping his next meal and let him settle, then give him a smaller than normal

Sometimes snakes pass undigested mouse parts with their pooh...

The main way to determine which is which is by smell, a passed mouse will smell like pooh, a regurge will smell like decaying flesh, no mistaking that smell!!!

Mine just looked like fur. No smell to it. I've had regurge in the past, and this did not smell the way those did.

I would really like to know if it's possible for the tail skeleton to pass through in poo. I have always called iffy poos/regurges regurges if I could find a tail.

I usually treat it as a regurge any time there's a doubt... Usually you can't mistake the smell and you can totally tell the blob of stinky grossness was once a mouse. If I'm not sure I still wait the ten days and treat the snake with a few drops of GSE in the water.
