Loopy's Thread

Happy Birthday, Loopy! Cleo sends one of her best buds here her regards.

Wow, he sure is looking great and more grown up. It's amazing how he has changed. I love the picture with just the ends of his tongue. So cute!

I popped in on Loopy last night and asked, "Hey Loopy ... what 'cha doin'?" And he said, "Just hangin' out."
Well, when there's more room outside than inside I guess that's what you do!

(Oh, and Karl ... last weigh in was 253g)

He's getting huge. For some reason that cave he's hanging out of reminds me of a Dinosaurs head with him hanging out of an Eye socket.

"Mmmm! Man I love those mouses! Today that guy came by and got me out of my home. Then he weighed me. I'm up to 268 g! I'm not really working out or trying to bulk up .... it just happens! Then I ate ... I think this one was better than the last one!
Then back home again (I think that guy took a couple pics and no, I'm not a twin, just looks like it, right?) and I went under the log where the heat source is ... I don't often do that. Now leave me alone ... it's nap time."

Oh my gosh, Ken. You got me seeing double Loopys! Seriously, he is such a big boy. You're not gonna believe it but he is neck and neck with Cleo. I'm not sure which one is going to pull ahead at this point, but I'm having a feeling it's Loopy. And just think, you used to have to feed him in a paper bag!

Loopy is huge! And I forgot he needed the paper bag. Lol. He has such beautiful and perky colors.

Thanks Gail and DLena ... Little Loopy was just 9 grams when I got him! Hard to believe now that he's all stretched out in his viv!

They start out so tiny and delicate, and it's almost scary every time they eat, because the pinky looks so huge. Then they just turn into teenagers, gulping down their food at every meal and being a "handful" lol. Nice boy, Ken

So well said, DLena. I agree Loopy is a very nice boy. We all know EROs just get better with age and Loopy is a prime example of that, too.

Last night I fed Loopy, but just before snapped a pic of him curled up. I think it's the first 'curled up' one since he was a baby! He was under his hide and when I picked it up there he was. And he didn't move. I thought that was kind of strange since he was out there all in the open. And when my hand went by he kind of flinched a bit. Well, I've been waiting for a shed and with his eyes I can never really tell when it's going to happen. So I fed him (it took a minute for him to find it right in front of his nose at the end of the tongs) and he ate. I'm wondering since even though it might be a bit uncomfortable for him he eats anyway because they are opportunity eaters ... they eat when it shows up because they don't know when their next meal might be? Well, this morning I find his shed!
Crazy shed, too as you can see it's all balled up on both ends! Since I didn't want to bother Loopy as he rested I spent some time unraveling his shed.
It took a while. I wanted to make sure some of it wasn't still on him (It wasn't)
Sorry for rambling on so long.

:pWhat an original shed. He's showing off his creative side. His little tail shed is cute.
