A few questions regarding feeding before shedding & Feeding in an outside box.

Hi all. I'm pretty new here and to cornsnakes and I have just a few questions...

Should I feed my corn if I know he's going to be shedding soon? His face is clouding over right now, so I'm going to guess he'll be shedding next week. He ate on Saturday, so I'm guessing that if I don't feed him now and he goes into hidding while shedding he might not eat for 2 weeks.

Also, I am going to be feeding him in a box outside of his tank, so my question is how long should I leave him in the box? Only about a few minutes after he has fully ate the snake? Or a few days while he digests?

Thank you!

No harm in offering. Some of mine eat through anything, others refuse from "eyes blue" to shed, still others only refuse one or two days before shedding. Go ahead and offer on your normal schedule and you'll figure out what your snake's habits are in no time.

I give mine a minute (or two or three) after the mouse disappears to move it closer to their stomach before "putting them to bed." I've noticed they usually sit very still until the food is down quite far, then they start to roam about the feed box. That's when they go back to their own house.
