Food starts to spoil right away, People food and snake food. Although most people will tell you it's probably ok to leave it over night, I'd personally draw the line somewhere and not leave it any longer than necessary. Usually if a corn snake iis going to eat, it will do so right away. Leaving a mouse in the cage over night does not always work.

My snake typically eats right away. If he's not hungry, then I toss out the mouse and try again a week or 2 later.

I agree with Karl. By morning the pinkie will be pretty rank. If my new hatchlings don't eat within the first 30 minutes I try again another day, or with other methods, like boiling the pinkie, or scenting. Luckily, I have other corns that will eat leftovers, if not left for too long. So nothing goes to waste.

You can, but if they don't eat them by morning, the mouse is no longer good to feed.
