Sounds like birds to me , maybe like a blue jay, but not blue.

It is indeed a bird. Related to the blue jay, but not quite as brilliantly colored. We have them all over Southern California. They will get into everything and love to harass the cats!

They are a type of blue jay that are very loud and travel in gangs instead of flocks....

This thread keeps popping up and I keeping think a poll about talking to your snakes I do that all the time and click on it completely forgeting i started this poll months ago when my baby ghost had a lip infection and was having a sleep over at my boyfriends. He was so irritated with the dog and the weird man molesting his mommy he kept rattling and assuming striking pose when ever anyone went near the viv. It kind of freaked me out and I originally got snakes to overcome a fear so I some times get antsy when they do things like that. but then I just have to say to myself they are just putting it on.... that is why I started this thread to feel sane for lying to my snake that he didn't intimidate me when for a second,or maybe just a little bit more, he did. I think it is hilarious how many people have responded and how many more have lied to their snakes...lol.

P.S. more people have admitted to lying to their snakes then to never talking to them
