Size matters...

Just wondering if someone could post some pics of the difference between pinkies to fuzzies to hoppers, etc. Just curious to get a look at them, seeing as how I am only accustomed to pinkies so far. also, when do you usually switch from one type to the next? I understand the whole 1 1/2 size thing, but when does these transitions usually take place (in months)?

If you feed your snake a lot or "power feed" and I feed mine every fourteen days for six months. The growth rate would be different on the snakes. So what month do you switch over?That's when the snakes girth reaches the appropriate size to be 1 1/2 of the food item...............Huh??

Like Lenny said, snakes grow at different rates, so you can't really go by months. If a pinky is no longer leaving an obvious lump in your snake's belly, it's time to move up.

Thanks guys...but the weird part is this, I bought a dozen of the same size pinkies, and am currently on 7 or 8. Anyway, last week about two hours after he ate, there was no real lump, although I could kind of tell that he had eaten.....by the next morning, it was gone completely. Now, this last time the lump lasted for at least 24 hours. Maybe he just digested the last one alot quicker? I would hate to overfeed, so how long should the lump last, and how big should it be? Should it look as though he had just eaten?
