I know this isn’t a corn snake but i’m not sure where else to post this. I recently rehomed a taiwan beauty rat snake and she’s incredible docile and tolerant of handling. she came with her 40 gallon tank with plenty of decorations and hides but did not come with a heat source, i’ve read a lot of different information on what temperatures to keep them at and how to keep them and it differs a lot source to source. If anyone has any experience with keeping them any advice is helpful. Secondly, she came with 20 “hoppers” which are more like fuzzies and average about 7 grams. I weighed her at 255 grams and she is just over 3 feet long. she seems a little underweight with some loose skin folds around the sides of her body and i suspect her owner thought one of these hoppers was enough every week for her. 10-15% of her body weight would be 4-5 of these mice. i offered her 3 today as it’s her first feed with me and i wasn’t sure how it would go and she took down all 3 in less than 60 seconds. I plan on upping her feeder size immediately but i have heard they prefer smaller sized feeders so i’m not sure how large i’ll go. Thirdly, information regarding her humidity ranges so much that i’m not even sure where to begin, but she has no stuck she’d anywhere on her. The only thing i can find on her is a little scratch on the top of her head scales. The picture is from the ad on craigslist, i’ll take better quality ones on thursday after she’s digested her meal.
