Sometimes they can take their time dropping a series of slugs, in advance of laying a fertile clutch. Don't give up hope.

As for being too old, I've known female Corns breed into their teens (as long as they're healthy and regain pre-laying condition in a reasonable space of time). They generally lay smaller clutches with more slugs, but I've never known a previously successful breeder lay an entire clutch of slugs. That points more to a problem with the male, or that the timing of mating was just off for the timing of ovulation.
