I appreciate all the concern, but I've never had problems with him feeding (other than being picky about frozen mice). Half a minute is all it takes because he's only refused a mouse once, when he was transitioning from juvenile meals to more adult meals, over a year ago. He's never been shy about eating in front of me and has never regurgitated. Up until the aggression recently, he's been a completely problem-free snake.

I'm sure he will be again, soon. Maybe he's just feeling his oats a little.
I try not to out human emotions to animals, but I do believe that even snakes recognize individual people and it could even be that he noted your absense and is grumpy about it.
