I can't say as though I've had this issue with my snakes. They are usually good little critters and do not defacate all over everything on me. Now my birds are a different story.
My corn refuses to poop in her cage--at all. Haha.. I've come to expect that she'll go whenever I have her out, so I've stationed a roll of paper towels next to her cage. Thus far it has worked at least 90% of the time. Just come to expect that she'll leave you a present and have a "catching device" ready when you get your corn out. Welcome to the club.
Mojo has gone in his cage for the most part, but he somehow manages to get it like 4" up on the side of the aquarium most of the time. I'm not sure how, but it's probably quite a sight to see...
