Is this diffusion or pied?

Thanks for the compliments guys! I figured it was diffusion but wasn't sure. Looks like boyfriend's $25 "normal" corn from Petsmart is going to be the prettiest of the bunch! lolol!

I love your plasma pied's exar their coloration is gorgeous! Rapunzel definitely pops but she is overshadowed by your corns expression. Sorry to get off track : p. Kai your little guy is really attractive to I personally like the non white pied look better than the shocking contrast it is a lot prettier in my opinion.

I actually prefer the white pied look, I like the way it pops, but the non-white pied is definitely interesting, I haven't seen that before. I'm always game for unique markings! : )

And perhaps you guys could help me out .... I'm having a bit of a hard time telling the difference between non-white pied and normal diffusion. Is it something to do with the way the genes are expressed, or is it a totally different allele?

We are not even exactly sure how pied-sided inherits yet. I still think it's just a natural side effect of extreme diffusion, and I have yet to see the pied-sided trait expressed on a poorly diffused animal.

Like Shiari said its still a little vague on how it works. For just the sake of giving an answer though I'd say when like in your case the diffusion is so far up the sides that it starts to take over the saddle markings as well then I'd call it a "non white pied".

Although then that would make most bloodreds "non white pied" since a lot of them just become solid red snakes with no saddle markings as well, so really don't have an answer that would stand resolute at this time.
