Tank Size

I'm planning on an addition to our family tomorrow and baby corn. I have a 55 gallon tank (I know way bigger than needed) but if I put enough "clutter" and hides in it will it be "to big" for a little guy? (I don't know exactly how big until I get there tomorrow)

You could partition the tank, use half of it until the snake is grown and then remove the partition. I've never done this personally, but I know folks that have.

No it will not be to big for him/her the only issues will be heating which you can take care of with a good under the tank heat pad and a good thermostat
And you might want to put 2 or 3 water dishes in there
The biggest issue I can think of is finding the little one they love to hide
