Motley question

Buzzard

two corny
Quick question: I got a male fire this weekend. The breeder said it was het motley (possible het anery) but the pattern on the back is circle perfect. The diffusion is aswesome so he doesnt have any belly checkers. (sorry no pics yet) I believe the breeder but it raised a question.

"Besides" breeding trails is there another way to tell if a really good diffused snake is motley or not?

I wish i could edit posts.

Does the animal have a discernible side pattern? Photos when you can please.

The question you need to ask yourself is just how much of the dorsal pattern is that of a motley. If it's only a few circles on the neck, then what you may be seeing is actually a common finding in many normal patterned corn snakes. True, some motleys have a "broken" pattern down a good portion of their length and not a full motley one, but you can tell most of the motleys by the dorsal pattern. Perhaps you can post a photo for our consideration.
