Question Toffee Morph?

Good evening guys!
I've been looking around more, and have seen tons of photos and morphs.
My favorites so far have been the toffee colour. GORGEOUS.

Could anyone who knows a little bit about genetics, explain to me what the toffee is a result of? Does it go by another name in the USA? I haven't been successful with my Google searches, at least not much in the US.

I'd love to know more, and where to find them! And perhaps a price range too!

Thanks <3

Toffee is a single gene mutation, dominant to wild (possibly complete dominant, but it hasn't been confirmed). It might be the same as buf, and some test clutches are in the works to try and prove it, but because of the similarity and mode of inheritance it will be challenging.

Ooo thank you!
This is exciting.
Do you know where the test clutches are so that I can follow the outcome?

I'd have to go searching through facebook posts. Try messaging Chris McIntosh. I believe he has some toffees as well.
