Are the prices of digital scales around $50 and up.
My two year old Amel is getting thick and just wanted check his weight but don't know if it worth it for "pet owner" like me to get a digital one.
JoeJr. was selling them for awhile. I don't know if he still is or not, and I can't remember the price, but they were relatively inexpensive. Maybe drop him a PM? I have 2, one from Office Depot for $30 and another from Wal-Mart for $20. The $30 is right on accuracy wise, and $20 is a little off, so I only use it for kitchen measuring and not for the corns.
Put the snake in a pillow case and take it to the post office.
Their scales are accurate, and you'll be within a few grams (pillow case)
An idea I got from Joejr
I got mine from Ebay. In the search engine, type digital scale. I got a pocket scale that was advertized for $.99 with $12.00 shipping. I've been able to weigh the larger ones by placing a small peice of plexiglass on the scale (so I can see through to the #'s) then an empty sterilite on top, hit the tare button and the scale resets to 0.0 so it only weighs the snake. It's accurate to within 0.05 grams.
