Yeah, I know, but those few cold nights per year play hell on the sensitive plants we want to grow here. And we always hope that the green anoles around here choose wisely in the place they selected to spend the night.

Ugh I can't wait to move back to Florida. Have not decided which part yet but I look forward to living in the land where snow is generally only a morph for the snakes I keep.

Well, I think if you were here in north Florida tonight and early AM tomorrow, you would likely find it difficult to believe that you were actually in Florida. Hard freeze waring from midnight to 1 pm tomorrow. Weird thing is that it is still 50 degrees outside and just 3.5 hours till midnight. So I guess they are expecting temps to drop like a rock.

Already got most of the sensitive plants covered, but will have to run out to drip the outside faucets when the temps start getting close to freezing.

I was definitely surprised living in Tallahassee how cold it could get in the winter. The house I was living in was not cold weather ready because even with running the wood stove and the central heat it would not get warm enough in the house. The years I was living there though they had record lows and even some snow. Which I love, by the way. But the house was too cold I had to brumate my snakes those two winters I lived there. I was not expecting that! But Northern Florida is like a whole other state compared to central and south Florida.
