Pied questions

So I'm just curious, do we know what causes pied and if it can be detached from the blood red gene? I only ask because my next corn is probably going to be a pied and I'm just looking for some more info. If a thread exists please direct me, I fail at the search function.

I have never seen the expression of P/S in a healthy animal without the blood/diffused gene. I have seen it manifest in Blood combos like Caramel P/S Bloods, Granite P/S Bloods, Pewter P/S bloods and Plasma P/S.

I see, so it's probably something in the blood complex that's doing it then. Thanks for the reply
