Husbandry and Basic CareGeneral stuff about keeping and maintaining cornsnakes in captivity.
Have any of you fed chicken eggs and is this something I should try?
I have an adult corn who is a good eater.
I also have a couple of coops full of bantum and dwarf chicks and they will start laying eggs in the next couple of months. They produce small eggs especially when they first start laying. Im thinking of trying to see if the snake will take one when we start getting eggs.
thanks!
I'm not in favor of feeding chicken or quail eggs to Corn snakes. Its true that in the wild they occasionally eat small bird eggs, but overall I think this is just too much hassle for someone keeping corn snakes to try to replicate successfully. I don't think they 'break' the eggs inside of them very easily unlike some other snakes that have special bones that do this task for them.
FT Mice give them all the nutrition they need and are so easy...
