I've learned that the more unlikely it is to happen, with a snake IT WILL !
Someone once mentioned that a bit of cooking oil makes suction cups really stick, but don't hold me too that, try it on the outside of the tank first. Otherwise I use really clean, distilled, disinfected, filtered, purified water (read "spit") on the suction cup and glass before putting it on.

I am all about KISS. I have a PhD camera, "push here, dummy"!
