My girls: Leopard geckos

I have 3 little leo girls: Ophelia, Amelia, and Daisy. Ophelia and Amelia were brought home together. These two little darlings are really thin and very finicky eaters. My Amelia only wants dubia, and my Ophelia prefers to be tong fed crickets, occasionally she'll munch on a dubia. They both turn their noses up at mealworms. These 2 live together in a 10 gallon: they sleep together, come out of hiding together, if you spot one, the other isn't far behind.

Daisy was dropped off with the breeder that I work for. There were 2 geckos initially, but they were both so neglected, weak and emaciated that only Daisy pulled through. She has MBD and doesn't get around as well as she could, but is well on her way to recovering. She's put on a substantial amount of weight and her tail is starting to fatten up

I'll have to post some photos of their setups.

I keep them on paper towel substrate. 3 of the walls have been blacked out to make them feel more secure. They have a heating pad that's controlled by a thermostat, and low wattage black lights that I can flip on if the air temp feels chilly in the room. The enclosures are on the floor, on top of a metal shelf so the heat pad can get proper ventilation. They each have hot hides on the left, a humid cave in the middle, and a cool side on the right. Water bowls, food dishes (not that they use them), and calcium powder dishes.

Ophelia and Amelia's

Daisy's, you can actually see her head poking out of the cool side

According to my logs, I brought them home on August 6th. Since then, Daisy has shed twice. The smaller girls haven't made too much improvement yet. I'll be getting some more crickets to tong feed Ophelia, and try out a smaller feeding container to see if Amelia will be more inclined to eat. I'll have to weigh them again to see if they've gained any weight.

Thank you now if they would just eat like the little piggies they were born to be, we'd be golden.

I'm glad they are doing better with you, I hope they continue to eat and grow! They are adorable

Love, love, love geckos. :-). What do you use to dust your feeders? I switched to Repashy Calcium Plus, and Dash seemed to go after his superworms more enthusiastically. I look forward to seeing how these lively ladies progress.

I use flukers calcium powder. I also keep a bottle cap full in their enclosure. I tried dusting with flukers multivitamin once. They hated it haha, so no more of that.
