Late July: Willie Cooper and Brandon Merriweather are involved in a shooting incident in Miami. Brandon comes home to find an Audi parked outside of the house with two people inside the car. Himself and Willie go out to investigate, and Willie gets shot in the ass. Merriweather then returned fire with a semi-automatic pistol. He shot three times.

Wide Receiver Ryan Moore was suspended for the Peach Bowl and the opener against Florida State---was then suspended indefinitely, for violating team rules. Tyrone Moss, James Bryant, and Rashaun Jones were also suspended for the FSU game.

MIAMI -- Green Bay Packers fullback Najeh Davenport was arrested Monday, accused of breaking into a university dormitory and defecating in a woman's closet.

Davenport, 23, surrendered to police Monday and was charged with a second-degree felony count of burglary and a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief, said Richard Master, a Miami Shores police spokesman.

Well, FIU booted two players off the team and indefinitely suspended I believe 11 more.

What did Miami do? Indefinitely suspended Anthony Reddick, and handed down 8 one-game suspensions to their other thugs.

And this is why Miami will always have the reputation of Thug U.
