Normal or Okeetee??

Hi all!
My girlfriend has this corn snake she got a couple years ago. I am convinced it is an okeetee but she is not.
What do you guys think?

Hey guys, you do realize that oketees are just normals right. They are just good looking normals that have been bred to retain and build on there strong bold markings. They originated out of South Carolina animals. Just a local specific normal.
Yours does look like an awesome normal. Could be from oketee stock. Anyway have a good one.

Yeah, a very nice looking snake, but not quite an Okeetee-phase. It's a common mistake we see a lot. If you go to shows or browse a lot of classifieds, you'll eventually see a lot of otherwise normal snakes incorrectly labeled Okeetee. I saw some at a show once that were practically borderless.

Your snake does not have the thickness of the borders or the deep saturated color that the Okeetee phase is known to have. That said, yours could be from an actual local line, but without knowing the history, there's no way to know, and would be considered a "normal/classic".

Technically, Okeetees and Miami's are "normals", however, they have both been refined to become noted morphs. They are typically called Okeetee phase and Miami phase if they do not come from actual locality lines.

Along these lines, there is the Alabama Corn as well. They are a locality, and to my knowledge, "Alabama phase" is not out there yet, because the ones being produced are from WC or WC decendants.
