OK, I ordered the book but it hasn't come yet and there are a few things I HAVE to know:

1. My female, Terry, bred on April 2nd and is looking a bit pudgy. She had been eating 3 hoppers every 7 days but now she seems to be constantly looking for food. It has only been 3 days since she ate but she seems ravenous. How much should I be feeding her now? Is it possible to overfeed a gravid female?

2. I read that I should introduce an egg laying container. When so I do this? I though that when she sheds would probably be a good time, or does timing even matter?

3. How will I know if the eggs are fertile? Is there some way to tell this or do I just have to wait and see if they hatch or mold?

That's all for today......anxiously waiting for my snake bible to arrive

good luck...

ok lets see.....
1. she is probably looking for somewhere secure to lay if she is gravid. i'd suggest feeding her a little lightly before she lays as long as she has good body weight. once she lays start to beef her back up.
2. i'd put it in now. it'll make her more comfortable having it in there and some females won't wait until they are done shedding to start laying.
3. slugs (infertile eggs will often be discolored and smaller than a fertile egg.
enjoy!!! ---jim
