Road kill

I found a large gravid corn snake that was hit by a car just before I rode past. I circled around but she was dead, and in pre-lay shed. I cut her open and extracted 14 eggs, I saved the eggs to see if they would hatch, but all got moldy within a day or two. Really unfortunate she didn't make it across the road. She was a normal, but a nice female anyway.

I like that you tried to save the eggs, good on you, man!

I don't think I have ever heard of anyone who has successfully saved eggs from a gravid female that met an untimely end. Has anyone else heard of a success?
