I was helping my son move his snake racks around 3 years ago and I found a nice hypo corn snake under one of them. He said that male had been missing for over a year. It was in good health, and surprisingly not too thin. There's no source of water, except in the rack containers, so we don't know what he ate or drank.

Thanks everyone by the way who gave me advice and/or moral support. Its funny hows snakes just seem to turn up when they feel like it whether it be one week, one year, or one decade later. I’m planning a welcome back party now for Cathy that will probably include an appropriate sized tank since she has grown so much in 3 years and a medium sized mouse to substitute as a cake lol.

Don't give up hope! I have a friend who lost one of his Cornsnakes, he thought he'd never see him again, but a good year later, the snake turned up in a neighbor's wood pile, outside.
