This is some other weird thing I found in FL, I think. Falls under the don't handle category.

Helgramites have a nasty bite too. Nancy that might be a pill millipede (pillipede).

You mean a pill bug/sow bug/rolly polly?? It's like 100 times that size. But it _does_ look more like a millipede than a centipede. It's like 1.5" long, .25" wide.

This is what the Florida centipedes look like.

thats not fair i am jealous! give me that pede !

the millipede you have is Narceus americanus. largest aerican millipede

we have them here too,but they are so hard to find! wish they were more common

I believe you're right! Learn something new every day...

LOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No thank you!!! 4 legs or none lol...

I could accept two legs, but I am with you, no more than 4!

Gaaaaaaaaaa!!! I am with you, my armhair is standing straight up now! Now I can get my sister's absolute refusal to even come to my house because of my corns.

Rolly-pollies! I miss them, I haven't seen one in over 10 years and haven't thought of them until now. And "tatterpillers". I loved catching them at our farm, the orange and black fuzzy ones.
