Hiding out...

I've been having trouble with a particular snake. It decided it doesn't want to eat anymore ever-At least thats what i thought.
I forgot that for most of his life, he was so particular that he wont eat in "public." His habits had changed somewhat and for a month or so, he was eating aggressively and his prior behaviors had slipped my mind.
Well, last night I remembered this old habit and placed a mousejust outside his hide in his cage and left it for awhile. About an hour later, the mouse was gone.
Just goes to show that detailed records really come in handy.

Great, I am glad that he started eating again. Even though we know that snakes can go for sometime without eating it is still a worry when they skip a meal or two.

Thanks for that tip. I've been thinking keeping a little "snake diary" where I record shed dates and little personality quirks and things, so I guess I'll start that then.
