Rattlesnake Soap

I've been doing a lot of soap-making lately, and as I said in another thread some of what I want to do is make soap I can donate to snake-related foundations so they can help raise money.

This is my first attempt at snake soap. I'm not satisfied with the color--I think I will get some mica to create more natural colors with a sheen, like real snake scales. I used a cactus blossom scent, which smells absolutely amazing. I'm planning on doing cactus blossom, sagebrush, lavender, sandalwood, and vanilla soaps. They look decorative, but I added coconut oil to make it really suds nicely and feel good.

The pictures are terrible. I can't find my camera, so I had to use my phone. At least you can get the idea.

I'll continue to work on and refine these soaps--I just wanted to share my first attempt!

I think that turtle shaped soaps would fit the hand better when actually being used. The older I get the more I seem to drop the soap in the shower. The snake shaped soaps you are producing look fine for knickknacks, but I think I would be having them breaking on me all of the time if I actually used them.

But that is just the practical side of me talking.....

Yeah man.... Why did they make soap so slippery anyway?

I like them!

It is surprising just how much can be raised for things like this. I believe we've passed $200 so far for 2016 for A's projects.
