Topaz Bloodred het Strawberry x Tessera het Lava Snow

Why I gave this females offspring the "Yellow Disease", AKA YJ, I question myself now, but Tessera Topaz Bloodreds may be seen in a few years.

I almost bred het to my RC Okeetee het Lava, but chose a homo Lava instead.

Todays hall, makes 30 good clutches for the year so far. I maxed out my egg laying containers, so more are to come very fast. I will take photos of a few, but until my new one of a kinds hatch, we just have to wait.

Very Interesting. I was hoping you'd chime in on this one.

It does appear so far that my Lava and Charcoal hold backs from this projects are NOT Het for each other. I'm breeding some more this year from this project so we'll see what happens in a couple months when babies hatch.

Thanks for the info!
Amen!
I had to learn something reading that. It may be true.

They said the same thing about Lava Motleys for a few years and now I have a bunch of them.

I was basically just saying that I have given up producing Diamonds, since they have been produced before. I had no idea there may be a reason.

The first Diamonds I heard about were from some het Ice Pewters, I sold. I thought I produced a Diamond once that turned out to be an Ice. Maybe there isn't as many as we think?

No problem, I just expect you to send me your first born diamond! :santa:
Jk!
Keep teaching us, true knowledge is wisdom. I like wisdom a lot!

Usually, our answers turn out to be pretty simple. I am ready for a hard one.

I don't have a Diamond, or much chance of producing one. How about a Lava Plasma instead?

Well, I guess I get to toot my own horn, as I coined the name about three years ago. It seemed at the time that that should be the trade name for an all red lava! Glad you like it.

Very nice season you seem to be having already. It'll be great to see your hatchlings. Btw, do you happen to know the possible hets that female topaz motley I got from you might be carrying?

I knew you coined Magma for Lava Bloodred. I was hoping you would speak up.

It is the perfect name for my Lava Bloodreds I produced from a line other than Pewter or Plasma. Without YJ in the mix, Lava Bloodreds are Magmas, or Red Lava Bloodreds! I have a few like this female here, that makes me drool every time I open their cages.

Both extremes of Lava Bloodred can be called Magmas, one is just hotter than the other. I like the name, Magma for Lava Bloodreds.

I believe all of my Topaz Motleys are ph Amel, from a Butter Motley.

We are going to have to talk about Tesseras another day on another tread. Your arguments were sound, logical and truthful. You stood your ground against a lot of BS.

Our opinions are not worth shit and we know it, but now the truth is something else.

Tessera het Topaz x Topaz

Missed her lay box, but I found her in time.

You never know what may pop out of this clutch besides Tessera Topaz.

The male is ph Hypo Snow and the female is ph for a lot of things, but Straw and Amel are match with the males phs.

I think I found a 2014 Straw Topaz Bloodred. The addition of Straw to Topaz may be nice!

Tessera het Sunkissed Lava x Amel Sunkissed het Lava

I surprised her before she was done, but snapped a few photos any way. You can see how she is contracting and working the eggs down and out.

Between this females eggs and the Sunkissed Lava females eggs bred to this same male, I have a great chance at Tessera Sunkissed Lavas!

This male is ph Amel, so if I get Tessera Amel Sunkissed, I will also be very pleased. I don't remember seeing any Tessera Sunkissed combines yet. Any additional mutant gene on top ot Tessera Sunkissed crazy patterns will be very cool indeed.

I will get a lot or as many Sunkissed, Lavas and Sunkissed Lavas as Tesseras from these clutches. The Non-Tesseras from Tessera clutches aren't noticed much with all of the focus on the Tesseras, but they are very nice too!

Strawberry het Sunkissed x Sunkissed ph Strawberry

The least I will get are some Sunkissed het Strawberry.

If you didn't know, or haven't noticed, Sunkissed (Stargazer Free) is one of my focus genes at the moment. The other three are Lava, PS/Bloodred, and Strawberry.

These focus genes doesn't leave me wanting for other combines in my colony. I have just about every mutant gene in my colony and most are combined with these four genes.

This is another reason, my Landrace Lavas and soon to be Landrace Sunkissed are prized by myself.

I would also love to add the Golden's to the list of Landraces. Three genes is enough to begin having fun with.

I also have Landrace Stargazers, but they only have a special purpose now.

Striped Blue X Same

This female wasn't finished laying either. I took this photo and left her alone. I will take another photo when she is done.

I think I need some more really nice Blue Stripes. The best way to get them is to breed a nice pair yourself, and pick out the best ones.

This is one of the benefits of breeding, you get to keep some nice hold backs!

Normal het Striped Sunkissed Amel Ice x Amel het Striped Sunkissed Ice

This is an amazing thread and was very informative with awesome photo documentation. Thanks Joe!

I love that tessera ghost

Thanks, you inspired me.

You know why Tesseras are so much fun to breed, compared to working with recessive genes? Just look at these odds I have to produce a new one of a kind, or the main target of this project, Striped Sunkissed Lavas.

I have a half of a rack of females het for these genes. I have been breeding them for three years, and have very few hold back targets. I have some cool hold backs don't get me wrong, like Sunkissed Lavas ph Striped and a few Striped Sunkissed Lavas, but..

With Tesseras, you decide what project to create, Tessera x Sunkissed Lava for example. Two years later, breed a male Tess het Sunkissed Lava x Sunkissed Lava and odds are, you will hit your target several times and only need two cages. You will see something first, before anybody else in the whole world, or can take pride in being the first to produce a certain combine.

I am having fun with Tesseras, like all of you should be. There are a couple of breeders that have joined the party!

It is easy compared to these odds:

I did hatch a few Tessera Sunkissed Aneries last season, and may get something else in combine with Tessera Sunkissed this season as well.

Looking forward to the Tessera Sunkissed Lavas!

Thank you for posting a photo. I knew they would be AWESOME!

People have been brain washed to only like the original Tessera pattern. I have seen what the different lines of our mutants really do to Tessera. I like the crazy patterns of Sunkissed Tesseras a lot!

I like your Avatar photo, it is a nice combine!

Ghost Tessera het PS

I love that tessera ghost
I think he was opaque in all of the breeding photos, but he isn't today.

My original Tessera, Tessera x Silverqueen, or Tessera het Ghost, wasn't quite like the original Tesseras from the start. One breeding to Silverqueen produced him. I know Silverqueen is at least Hypo Anery.

I bred him to a Hypo Bloodred het Anery PS, and produced him. He proved to be a Ghost Tessera het Pied-Sided.

Last year I produced my first Tessera Ghost Bloodred from him. Here are a couple of photos. She was from a breeding to a Pinello Ghost, so is B/PS.

This year, this male was bred back to the Hypo PS line that he came from, so different Tessera Ghost PS, and Tessera Ghost het PS should be produced.

A male from the original Tessera Trio was bred to a Silverqueen. The Tessera het Silverqueen was bred to a Hypo PS line het Anery, and this was produced.

There is a lot more to Tessera Patterns than just the original Okeetee stripe down the back pattern. The different mutant lines can change Tesseras patterns, almost instantly.

Striped Blue X Same

She finished up laying 18 eggs. All look good, except two are connected. We will see how that goes.

Blue is just the trade name for Dilute Anery. On some Motleys and Stripes, they do reflect some blue color. This is really the first year, I bred Striped Blue X Same, so I am looking forward to the clutch.

I have some nice Tessera Blue Motleys and Tessera Blues het Motley coming up. Who knows with Striped Blue Sunkissed, Striped Blues, Blue Motley, and Tessera Blues, I might come up with a bluer Corn. I like them anyway.

Ice Bloodred x Anery het Striped Lava Lavender Bloodred

You want to know which male produced the RC Magma in the comparison photo with the Magma ph Charcoal? The Ice Bloodred that bred this female did. He doesn't look like much, but his Magmas are not YJ diseased.

I don't believe this line has YJ in it, even though it has Lavender in it. I selected YJ out of the line when I bred Lava into it, and a Lava Lav het Anery was bred to a Striped Granite to produce this project.

Since the female Anery het Striped Lava Lavender Bloodreds are black, instead of YJ gray, I think any Magmas I get from this breeding, may be RC's or at least some of them. Even a Magma that is not a RC is still quite different than a YJ Magma.

I think I ended up breeding the many females I have from this line, to 4 different lines of Magmas. It will be interesting to see the differences between the Magmas produced.

One of the Magmas used was from my Het Lava Pewter x Same failures. He is a YJ, so will all of his offspring be or just most of them, depending on whether he is het YJ or Homo YJ.

Topaz het Motley x Caramel het Lava Motley

Looking good. With four females bred, more Topaz Motleys are on their way. I have only produced 0.3. There are not many around yet.

So you never considered a Caramel may be YJ? What about this female? YJ for sure, right under our noses.
