I admit, it tends to be easier to take tongue shots with them because they are more likely to hold their pose and flick their tongue rather than squirm away in fear like more colubrids would...

That's why God created dwarf locality Boas
Caulker cay, Corn isle, Hog Isle, Sonoran, Central American... all of these will net you miniature Boas... around 4 feet'ish.

My plan is to film it instead and then go on a frame by frame hunt for a decent tongue flick.

What I have found though is that no matter how hard you try to take photos, snakes hate it. You can have hundereds of chances for photographs of epic proportions, and yet that one time you have the camera on hand they'll shuffle about, move their head out of shot and do practically everything in their power to avoid you getting that shot.

Wow! You guys have some awesome tongue shots! I'll definitely have to give some of your suggestions a try - I hadn't even thought of using rapid fire, duh!
