Concerning the amendment, apparently there are 2 amendments (from the article to me it sounded like there was only one). The 3rd amendment (which I thought was the one from HSUS) that passed the Illinois senate was not the one from HSUS. The amendment that would ban my boa (and others) has only been threatened to be proposed by the HSUS in the Illinois House. I got this info from the author of the article when I posted the warning on Region Reptiles & Exotics Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/regionreptiles/). I wish it had been more clear that there were two amendments, I feel pretty unintelligent right now.

But if the HSUS amendment gets passed then I will take you into consideration, right now I'm just trying to take this one step at a time.
