Poop or Regurge? - Photos

Fed Lucy two small pinkies Thursday evening and woke up this morning (Saturday) to find what I thought was poop, but there is so much pink left to it that I'm starting to wonder if it's a regurge.

It was her first time having two pinkies at once. Her last couple of feedings left barely a bump, so I decided to see if she'd like two of the smaller pinkies I had.

Typically her poops have been these indistinguishable black blobs. I've never seen this much pink. Do snakes typically digest what they need and just defecate the rest?

There was also a small black deposit a few inches from the duo pinkie deposit.

So naturally, I took photos of the stinky mess in hopes that you can help me distinguish is this is poop or a regurge.

Her warm side is 88 F while the cool side is about 73 F.

What we found this morning. Towards the right of the photo you'll notice the smaller black stuff

Mmmmmm

Thanks!!

Definate regurge so don't feed for 10 days & then give a small pinky, oh, and try not to disturb her for the 10 days......

Regurge. You might wanna wait a couple of days than feed it again.

Drat. Was hoping to avoid such things.

We wanted to clean her tank tonight, so I guess that's not an option.

10 days is pretty much the regurge standard to allow time for the snake to build up the gut flora again. Less that that and you're inviting another regurge episode.

Yep we're going to give her 10 days just to be on the safe side.

We have Kathy's book, but didn't want to treat this like a regurge until we knew for sure. Since it's unanimous that it is, we're going to follow Kathy's instructions to the letter.

The cage clean can wait.
