I'm Back (Been a Long While)

Not sure how many old timers would remember myself and Cruella and/or Leoric from back in 2012 - 2014, but I used to be a regular here. It's kind of cool coming back and seeing names I recall and snakes I remember seeing as well. Feels like home :) .

Long story short, my ex-wife and I separated back in January of 2015. I had to find new homes for my two cornsnakes I had kept for 2.5 years (one of) and 1.5 years (the other). My mom and pop who would take me in while my divorce processed and I saved money for a new place, had phobias of snakes and just wouldn't tolerate them in the house. So, I gave them up to a local shop I was close with who I trusted over retail chains.

Fast forward to now and I am happily engaged to an awesome partner and we have blended out two families together to form a very happy life for all. Couldn't be happier. And while my fiancee isn't a fan of snakes, she knew my passion for keeping them and didn't want to deny me that. So, a couple weeks back I ordered a Bloodred from VMS Herps, where I had originally bought my Golddust Bloodred back in the day. Had it overnighted, and received it on 9/11. It's fed twice since on F/T pinks and is acclimated well.

It snipped a couple/few times initially as I took it out of the container, but since has been handled three times (after acclimating to it's viv) for about 10 minutes each time. No strikes, still a little wary getting out of the viv, but once out is taking to it just fine.

Very happy with the purchase and decided to come back here as my normal stomping grounds (IHerp) seems dead as a door nail lately. Nice to see everyone again!!!
