Just saying "Hi" and sharing a bit of my snake story.

Decided to help a local high school by baby sitting their corn for the summer. Fell in love with her but can't keep her. Lot's research going on now and getting ready to set up for our own corn. Still lots of information but now it's a patience game. Looking forward to being an owner and learning more about these crazy fun critters!

Welcome to the Forum ronacn.. I hope you enjoy the group. One thing i always recommend, hooking up with your local Herp society if you have one nearby. Meet a lot of old timers and experienced keepers. And some may do adoptions. the Minnesota herp society does such adoptions and its a great group of people. We have Youtube's Dav Kaufman and Emily Roberts of Snake Discovery in our club.

Hi Ron, Welcome to the forum. It makes sense to do your research, but corn snake requirements are really simple. Enough room in an escape proof tank or vivarium, correct heat (belly preferred), clean substrate, and hiding spots on the warm and cool side. If you read enough posts about corn snakes on this forum you will see that not everyone does things the same way. Yet the corn snakes survive and most prosper.
