I'm excited there will be some additional photo's posted, I'm totally willing to admit me being wrong if the photo's show evidence of it.
YES...as I have seen the parents. The father has red eyes. He is not a Hypo Bloodred and as I pointed out in post #57, I've never seen an Ultramel Bloodred that looked like the snake in question. Also, since Doc got this snake from Serpenco, I seriously doubt Rich would've sold it as a Hypo Fire (without ?) if it was an Ultramel Bloodred.

I have no question (unless it's proven otherwise) myself about the borders- they look clear to me. The pigment hasn't developed, IMO.
I agree with you Nanci about the borders. Also something else to remember, these babies are het bloodred. That could also be contributing to their coloration.

Het blood causing white borders to become greyish is new for me but let us wait for new photo's.

For some reason, Doc has been unable to connect to Cornsnakes.com server. His email is still working, so if you have any questions, he said you can drop him an email. Hopefully these pics that I just recieved from Doc will finally end this debate. These are pics of the actual breeding that produced the hatchlings in question.

Is there any way to see bigger versions of the pictures?

If there is, it's beyond my computer skills

The pupils of both eyes are readily visible. They're red. Both snakes clearly have an amel base.

Yes they are. Thank you. I just hope that the members that questioned this realize that they were incorrect whether they admit it or not.

They're both very pretty and yes, I hope this settles the issue!

LOL the eyes are scary but they seem to be red indeed... something weird with the photo's of the hybiono's then. Or they are mixed up with another clutch's photo's but the hatchlings of this couple should be amels indeed. That's beyond doubt.
