Guesses on the genetics here?

I'm being told this snake is a caramel motley...to me it looks too red...and like more of a vanishing stripe? Please tell me what you think. Thanks Laura

I sure wouldn't call it a caramel motley. I'm thinking either a normal stripe het caramel or possibly a hypo stripe het caramel. You may have been sent the wrong photo by mistake.

Yeah, if it was caramel anything it would have green eyes wouldn't it? I definitely agree it is a normal stripe with vanishing pattern. Pretty though!

Could it be Terrazzo?

What Susan said.

Note, I use Ian's Vivarium a lot...for snakes I don't have and am not familiar with... http://iansvivarium.com/cornsnakemorphs.php

So Susan, how are you coming up with the het caramel statement on this particular snake? I know that there are some claims that underlying hets can be determined by some modifications to how the snake looks but I am very certainly such a novice in that regard I wouldn't even be able to hazard a guess.

I really appreciate everyone's input...I'm trying to prove the genetics on a hypo blood PH stripe and caramel male, obviously, if I knew this snake was het caramel it would go a long way toward determining his status...she is pretty enough to contemplate buying in any case.

If it were just a hypo, (or just an amel), it would be more red. Het caramel can present a less than red, more towards orange or yellow snake. If the genetics involved are as simple as, for example, a normal, hypo, or amel vanishing stripe.
I use "amel" in my example because it appears to my colorblind eyes that on an amel snake, the het caramel yellow wash is more obvious.

So if you are colorblind...I must be blindfolded, LOL. I need an extensive education.
