"Knob" on back?

Was handling a large corn at the weekend reptile show and discovered the corn had a large "knob" in the middle of its back, under the skin of course.
From profile, imagine in your mind's eye that you had a broken pencil and tried to glue it back together but the pieces slipped and it dried completely out of alignment.

Snake moved just fine, and the owner said it was "a calcification". I'm inking it had a broken back at some point in its young life...

Anyone else see something like this?

Most likely the poor snake had a "kink" in its spine.
Can't for the life of me imagine someone selling an animal with a kinked spine.
Unless the seller was upfront about the potential issue...and the buyer was not intent on breeding such an animal.

It sounds like a spinal kink.

They can be genetic, or they can be incubation related.

Snakes with kinks are not recommending for breeding. The kink the can passed on to the offspring, and possibly make it difficult for the snake to pass eggs.
