If you know what the snake weighs, you can feed it a Mouse that weighs about 10% to 13% of the snake's weight.
Example- if the snake weighs 40 grams, you would feed a 4.5 to 5 gram mouse.
If the snake weighs 100 grams, you would feed about a 12 gram mouse.
And if the snake weighs 300 grams, you could feed a 30 to 35 gram mouse.
You can also feed a Mouse, Rat, Chick, etc. that is slightly larger than the biggest part of your snake. If your snake is about 1 inch diameter at his biggest part, you could feed something about 1 to 1-1/2 inches in diameter.
Yes, you can feed 2 smaller items to equal 1 bigger item if the bigger items can not be found. But you don't want the 2 items to exceed 10% to 13% of the snake's weight weekly.
Once the snake is full grown (several years old and over 300 grams) a single mouse of about 30 to 35 grams every 14 days is usually recommended to maintain a healthy weight without the snake getting too fat.
