What should I use to clean cage?

What should I be using to both spot clean and fully clean my corn snake aquarium with? I came across some reptile specific chlorexadine cleaner, but would regular OTC chlorhexadine work? It’s only a fraction of the cost. And do you just spray and wipe or does it have to be washed out? Is it ok if the cleaner gets on bedding during spot cleaning? Thanks

I use paper towels, mild soapy water to general clean. I clean the water bowl every 2 or 3 days with bleach. I clean the cage monthly (deep cleaning) with a specially formulated "Reptile Cleaner/Disinfectant" made by National Geographic that I got at a local pet shop. When I do the monthly cleaning, I empty the cage completely, and clean everything, the glass, the rocks, the "Hides" .... everything. The instructions on the bottle say to wait until completely dry before re-introducing the reptile, so I usually just play with him for a while and then put him back. I've been using this product for about 5 years, and so far so good.
