copper vs kastanie

My question is are they the same or different? I know JMG did a test breeding between copper and kastanie (german line) and said he thought they were the same. Has anybody else done such testing?

This confuses me too, since I've seen rootbeers called copper as well. I have some interest in kastanie, so it'd be nice to get some clarification on what is and isn't kastanie.

I think the JMG Copper lineage is proven Kastanie. The german test breedings had the same result as the test breedings from JMG.
