I had two adults temporarily in my care last winter. They were removed from a man's basement too late in the season to let go outside. They ended up mating in early spring and four eggs hatched. I decided to keep this one as it has such great color for a hatchling. I don't know of any breeders. I think most of the states that they are native to have laws against selling them. In Wisconsin you can keep two. Young cannot be sold, but can be given away.
