Congratulations on the good test result! I feel so much better about your babies. I love baby cobras. Just wish they ate mice :-)

I have the opportunity to get in on a really cool SK project- from untested lines. I've avoided SK so far, and this line has NEVER produced a gazer, but I'd hate to be in the position a couple of my friends have, of suddenly finding it, and then having to tell everyone who ever bought a SK hatchling...So ethically, I'd have to grow them up, test both the male and female...But then I'd have a free line. Hopefully... I realize gazer can occur in other morphs, but with SK it doesn't seem like such a remote possibility. So- I haven't decided, but I'm leaning towards nope. Because that would mean acquiring or borrowing a 1.1 gazer pair, too! Not that I'd mind having them around, but space.

I also now have 1 baby from another clutch whose navel didn't seal correctly.

Sent an email . . . hope to hear something!

(Some pretty bad navels can heal up. If you're undecided, give it a shed or two.)

I still haven't heard anything. Anyone know a better way to get a message to him?

I'm keeping an eye on the navel, Nanci, but that whole area is sort of smushed-looking, so I have doubts about him being able to pass food. If he seems to be improving, though, I'll keep him a bit longer.

Maybe try to contact the place that actually needs the snakes instead of this guy, since he isn't responding? The first post says "Clyde Peeling's Reptiland in Allenwood PA".

Don't know what happened to Chris, except he started a new job with super-early hours...

Thanks for the idea! I called them, and arranged the shipment with a guy named Jeff Cook. They ship out tomorrow. He promised to send pictures of the baby king cobras when they hatch.
