Feeding Adult Cornsnake

Our cornsnake was eating medium frozen/thawed mice every 2 weeks but has not eaten in 4 weeks. It is not shedding. It is supposed to be Springtime here and the weather has been wonky. So the temps have varied as it has gotten too hot for the under tank heater then gotten chilly enough for it. We always put it in a separate feeding container, have tried night feeding, and changed the mice provider. It is active and acting like it is on the prowl. Should we be concerned?

Hi LeonW and welcome!

I have several adult males that go off feeds every spring related to breeding season. I wouldn't worry. I'd probably offer weekly until he/she goes back on regular feeds. If he looks skinny, or has lost a lot of weight, I'd offer weekly until he's back up to his original weight. Adult corn-snakes can go a long time without feeding, so try not to worry too much or change routine too much.

Post pics when you get a chance!
