Can i use a 70x40x47cm for a baby cornsnake?

Hello everyone,
I am planning on getting a cornsnake soon and have a 70x40x47 terrarium set up for it. But recently I started having my doubts because I've read someplace where they suggest to give baby snakes a much smaller terrarium before transferring it to a bigger one.

So basically my question is
Can I house a baby cornsnake in the terrarium I already set up or should I search for a smaller terrarium?

Thanks in advance!

A larger terrarium is fine for a baby corn. After all, in the wild, they have an infinitely sized terrarium! What will make them comfortable regardless of tank size is lots of hides and clutter. You can get fancy bought hides, but you can also use toilet paper tubes (cut in half lengthwise), small cardboard boxes, etc. They like small dark hiding places best. I would also add fake leaves from the dollar store to give them some good ground cover. It will allow them to move around and still feel like they're hidden.

The only downside to a large tank with a small baby is that you will spend more time looking for them when you want to get them out. And it will be harder to find poop.

I have to agree with @hypnoctopus. With enough cover the snake should do fine with the extra space. But finding the baby in a large tank may be a pain. I sometimes have a hard enough time finding babies in a 50 x 20 x 30.
