Does perfume freak out corns?
My little corn (about 35g) was acting a little odd for about a week, not coming out of his hide hardly at all.
I kept an eye on him, but thought he was going to shed (which is kind of due) and also I had guests staying and thought the noise might be scaring him.
I took him out every day or two for light handling.
Today I was up close to his faunarium and noticed it really STANK of perfume.
(I wasn't too close for a few days because I have a large viv in front, temporarily I hope! for a couple of bearded dragons we rescued from someone who was neglecting them).
I was puzzled, then realised my guests must have been standing in front of the viv when dressing and spraying their perfume.
I did try to give them a quick reptile do and don't, but that didn't occur.
I've got him in a temporary box and I'm soaking everything else.
It really really smelled of perfume. I'm so annoyed I didn't notice before.
Do you think that might be why he was unhappy?? I'm a snake newbie but I heard chemicals and smells were bad for them ...
