Teenagers!

I joke around about Malachite being our third teenager in the house, but sometimes it's not that far off. He shed last night (of course while we were all sleeping so we couldn't see it - post shed photos in my user album), and apparently decided at some point to make a huge mess out of his water dish with his aspen while he was at it. I cleaned out two soaking wet gobs of bedding from his dish this morning thanks to his late night antics. lol He's also annoyed with me for taking his vines + plants + wood out for cleaning, deciding the best course of action now is to "guard" everything left in the tank so I won't take anything else. I would say that I'm just projecting human emotions/behaviors onto him, but I suspect the teenager thing is universal regardless of species. hehehe

Anyone else notice definite "teenager attitudes" with your snakes?

Definitely! My one lone, female, amel Wishbone will totally trash her viv when she's shedding. Its like, "Hey gang! Parents are away for the weekend. Let's get a keg and PARTAY!" And not clean up the mess afterwards.

hehe Malachite has been lazy after feeding yesterday afternoon so thankfully his tank isn't too out of sorts this morning. He barely even acknowledged my presence as I checked temps and whatnot. lol Again, total teenager behavior.
